WELCOME TO HEVTTC

Welcome to the Hybrid Electric Vehicles Technology Transfer Centre (HEV TTC), created in association with Birmingham’s Chamber of Commerce and supported by the automotive investment initiative “Accelerate”, and managed by MIRA Ltd, world leaders in vehicle engineering and testing.

The aim of the centre is to actively encourage and support West Midlands based Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in responding to the business opportunities in the growing HEV market. It is reported that by 2013 more than 6% of the automotive industry will consist of HEVs, a high-technology business sector in which the UK has an opportunity to be a leader. Our aim is to make sure that the West Midlands is at the centre of this UK HEV business.

MIRA Ltd is hosting a free one-day seminar (29th June 2005) at our main site in Nuneaton, which will be followed later in the year by a planning workshop. Our aim is to provide technology briefings from industry experts, access to advice from key funding providers and opportunities to network and discuss how the West Midlands SMEs can respond to HEV business opportunities.

We've helped many companies - big and small, and all around the world - to develop everything from components systems through to complete vehicles. Based in the West Midlands region we are a local firm with a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience that we want to share with other local businesses.
